Crowns & Bridges
Dental crowns and bridges are two of the most trusted restorative treatments in dentistry. A crown encases and protects a damaged or weakened tooth; a bridge spans a gap of one or more missing teeth by anchoring to the adjacent teeth. Both restore full function and are crafted to match your natural teeth seamlessly.
How It Works
Examination & Planning
Dr. Basi evaluates the tooth or gap and discusses whether a crown, bridge, or alternative restoration is the best option.
Tooth Preparation
For a crown, the tooth is shaped to accept the restoration. For a bridge, the anchor teeth are prepared the same way. Local anesthesia keeps you comfortable throughout.
Impressions
Precise impressions are taken and sent to our dental lab, where your crown or bridge is individually crafted to fit your bite.
Temporary Restoration
A temporary crown or bridge protects the prepared teeth while the permanent restoration is fabricated — usually 2 weeks.
Permanent Cementation
The finished restoration is checked for fit, colour, and bite, then permanently cemented for a strong, lasting result.

Q.How long do crowns and bridges last?
With proper care, both crowns and bridges typically last 10–15 years or longer. Good oral hygiene and regular check-ups extend their lifespan.
Q.Does getting a crown hurt?
The preparation is done under local anesthesia, so you shouldn't feel pain during the appointment. Some sensitivity to temperature is normal for a few days afterward.
Q.Will my crown match my other teeth?
Yes. We select the shade, size, and shape to blend seamlessly with your surrounding teeth. The result looks natural and cohesive.
Q.Is there an alternative to a bridge for a missing tooth?
Yes — a dental implant is often a preferred long-term solution as it replaces the root and doesn't require preparing the adjacent teeth.
